Introducing BeHear SMARTO

This simple yet powerful hearing amplifier has been designed to be used hand-held or body-worn as an alternative to a traditional hearing aid. One of the biggest complaints of those with hearing loss is the inability to follow conversation in noisy places. With the press of a button, the beamforming function in SMARTO zeroes in on sound coming from a specific direction. SMARTO can also be paired (by Bluetooth) to your Smartphone to handle allowing you to pick up enhanced audio calls at the touch of a button. Government confirms new e-scooter legislation is coming
In the Queen’s Speech on Tuesday (10th May) the government set out plans for a new Transport Bill. Whilst no specific mention of e-scooter legislation was made, a government spokesperson has since told the BBC that new laws on privately owned e-scooters are coming. “While riding a privately owned e-scooter on public land is currently illegal, we are considering how best to design future regulations and our Transport Bill will help us to take the steps we need to make e-scooters safer and support innovation.”

Contamination incident affects NAND factories
A contamination incident has forced production to cease at two NAND factories owned by Western Digital and Kioxia (formerly Toshiba). The incident at the factories located in the Japanese cities of Kiakami and Tokkaichi has reportedly affected 6.5 exabytes (6,979,321,856 gigabytes) of Western Digital’s flash memory product. Work is underway to restore normal operation at the factories, with Western Digital saying it's “working closely with its joint venture partner, Kioxia, to implement necessary measures that will restore the facilities to normal operational status as quickly as possible.”
Historically even small interuptions in the production of NAND has had a negative affect on both pricing and supply of Flash Memory Products such as Memory Cards, SSD and USB Drives, as well as the many products that utilise the technology at a component level. We'll do our utmost to keep you updated as the situation in Japan unfolds.
